Psyllium is the common name used for members of the plant genus Plantago whose seeds and husks are used commercially for fiber supplementation. The typical healthy adult needs to consume around 25-30 grams of dietary fiber per day, but the average typical consumption in the American diet is around 15 grams – barely half! Nutricost Psyllium Husk is packed with 1 full gram of premium dietary fiber that can be added to your favorite juice, shake, oatmeal, or even just water to get you one step closer to a healthy lifestyle.
As a dietary fiber, psyllium husk forms a gel in the stomach [1].
Nutricost offers an excellent source of this natural fiber. The smooth, non-gritty Nutricost Psyllium Husk powder mixes easily with your favorite food or beverage.

Nutricost Psyllium Husk
This is a product I have ordered several time. I take it and oat bran as a fiber supplement for regularity and cholesterol support. It is easy to take, not gritty but needs to be followed with a full glass of water or two.
