Nutricost has developed a premiere Ketone Salts (4-in-1) supplement, a naturally-derived compound that mixes sodium, potassium, or calcium, with exogenous ketone Beta-Hydroxybutyrate (BHB) to improve absorption.
There are 3 different types of ketones: Beta-hydroxybutyrate, Acetoacetate, and Acetone. Beta-hydroxybutyrate and acetoacetate are the most abundant ketones, while acetone is produced in much smaller quantities, and excreted as waste from the body through respiration.[3] Beta-hydroxybutyrate can also be converted via BHB dehydrogenase into Acetoacetic acid, and ultimately Acetoacetate.[4] This makes Beta-hydroxybutyrate the most vital ketone. Ketone bodies are then utilized in the citric acid cycle to synthesize energy in the form of Adrenosine Triphosphate.
While most exogenous ketones have a diuretic effect, Nutricost has added calcium, sodium, magnesium, and potassium to their Ketone Salts (hence the 4-in-1). Each exogenous ketone is bound to either four minerals to increase stability, bio-availability, and absorption. Any individual familiar with being in dietary ketosis knows the importance of consuming adequate electrolytes, since it is much easier to become electrolyte imbalanced in the absence of carbohydrates. Insulin signals the kidneys to retain important electrolytes, and with less carbs and less insulin production, it is easy to see why low carbers need a surplus of these crucial minerals.

Just started taking Nutricost Ketone Salts this week. I’ve taken Keto//OS for the last 9 months and found Nutricost because it was not as expensive. What I’ve found thus far is Nutricost put me in a deeper state of Ketosis than Keto//OS does. I measure my levels using a Precision Xtra Blood Ketone meter and I’ve been amazed at my Ketone Blood levels when compared to Keto//OS. Keto//OS has a ton of hype behind it with their Net Work Marketing but I think I’ve found a product that works much better without all the Pom, Pom’s. The taste of Nutricost sucks but luckily that not why I drink it. It’s drinkable as long as I slam it and it leaves a salty aftertaste. If your taking Exogenous Ketones you should try this product.

Q. What Are Ketone Salts?
A. Ketone Salts are exogenous ketones such as Beta-hydroxybutyrate, that increase ketone bodies in the bloodstream.
Q. What Does The 4-in-1 Stand For?
A. Each exogenous ketone is bound to either calcium, sodium, magnesium, or potassium in order to increase bioavailabity of the ketones. For those who are already in ketosis, consuming an excess of electrolytes is important in order to avoid electrolyte imbalances.
Q. Do I Have To Be In Ketosis To Use Ketone Salts?
A. No, however most benefits may be seen for users already in nutritional ketosis.
Q. When Is Best To Take Ketone Salts?
A. It is best to consume Ketone Salts prior to or during workouts.
Q. Can I Take Other Products With Ketone Salts?
A. Yes, however you may want to watch carb content of other products if you are in nutritional ketosis. Ketone Salts do not inhibit you from getting kicked out of ketosis upon higher levels of carb consumption.

Amazing Recovery!
So, I originally bought this when I started to do the Ketogenic diet, but I just couldn’t stick with the diet because I suppose I just love bread too much 🙂 However, I kept using this and especially noticed a drastic improvement in recovery when I would do a high intensity training… Since I go to the gym during lunch, I’m a little pressed for time, so I do jumping jacks or run in place for 30-40 seconds in between all of my heavy-lifting sets. I’m completely drenched in sweat afterwards and all of my energy is ZAPPED!
Once I take this, it’s like I’m fresh again and could possibly hit the gym all over again (if I was that dedicated).
This seems to be a pretty unique formula (in that it has a tooon of everything in it) And if you were to buy a big name brand product, you’d probably spend another 30-40% on all of their big time marketing & ads.
Taste – 2/10 yuck. (it’s unflavored though, which is nice for all of us that like natural ingredients and want to stay away from artificial flavors) You MUST mix this drink with something else… unless you just like salty water lol.
Effectiveness – 10/10 one of the best recovery mixes & I don’t even take it for it’s intended use! It’s for people on the ketogenic diet, but it can definitely be used by anyone! People that are on Keto tend to use up more of their electrolytes and this keeps them in a “keto state”…
Recommend – YES!
