Hailey Wiggins – #WCW
Hit abs and legs today! With this exercise I used a 5 pound dumb bell and 5 pound of ankle weights. Make sure to really hold your core in tight! It's very important to have proper form before you incorporate weights! You don't want to injure yourself and then be out of commission… So form = everything! Questions & Answers:
Q. What’s your go-to pre-workout meal?
A. Pre work out meal, if I do consume anything, (usually I workout on just a cup of coffee because I can’t workout on a full stomach and I workout early everyday like 6am early) would be one brown rice cake with 1/2 tablespoon of nutbutter and a protein shake ( scoop of vanilla whey protein powder *I use muscle pharm products, muscle milk products, or defense nutrition products*, with either berries, cocoa powder or matcha green tea powder depending on the flavor I crave and 4 oz of organic non fat milk).
Q. What keeps you motivated to workout regularly?
A. I have a huge passion for exercise and nutrition! I love being active and have always enjoyed working out. Played tons of sports while I was growing up everything from soccer, gymnastics, swimming, water polo to wake boarding. I started weight training when I was 14 years old and just got hooked! I love they way I feel after I workout, energized, pumped, and ready to have an awesome day!
Q. What is one piece of advice you’d give to girls that are just starting to workout?
A. Don’t be afraid of weight training! Weight lifting won’t make you bulky, you’d have to take steroids to get that big, it’ll simply make you toned and strong! I try to do something that challenges myself every day whether it’s mental or physical I love to accomplish new goals I set for myself. Remember only “you create your own magic.”
