The Longest Bicycle in the World
Members of a Dutch cycling organization have successfully entered the Guinness World Records 2016 for building the world’s longest bicycle, measuring in at 117 ft. 5 in. The bike utilizes only two wheels, so to prevent the bike from drooping in the middle, members of the Dutch cycling organization Miji Van Mares Werkploeg built the bike with aluminium trusses. As big as this bike is, while it will be featured in the 2016 record book, it won’t be making a repeat appearance in the 2017 record book. Why is that, you ask? A bigger bike has already been built in Australia, measuring around 136 ft.
Considering how long this bike is, we have to ask, “how does this thing turn corners?”
