Top Physiques of the Week 7-11-15

if there is one piece of advice I could drill into everyone's minds when it comes to transforming your body, it would be this: PATIENCE + CONSISTENCY ARE KEY! ? learn to love yourself. the person you are today will help you reach the person you want to become tomorrow. but if you aren't willing to show yourself some love through good food most of the time, little pep talks on those unmotivating days, and enjoying life every once in awhile, you are just running on a hamster wheel. ?STOP YOYO DIETING! ? it is a vicious cycle of highs and lows that cause you to end up even lower than where you started in the first place. ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY. ??yes, easier said than done, we all want instant gratification. we want to lose that extra ten pounds yesterday. we want to hit new PRs every day. YES they are great goals, but you HAVE to be realistic. ? I have been on a road to healing my own mind and body for over 10 years. and its been a journey to say the least. ? it's not as simple as calories in/out or killing yourself with cardio. it's not as simple as what supplements to take or how much you bench press. ? it's about showing up day in and day out, even if you don't want to be there. it's about giving yourself a break, and learning to back off if you feel an injury creeping on. it's about consistently making good REAL FOOD choices and not being so restrictive that you can't enjoy life. it's about patience with your mind and your progress. it's about learning to love yourself AS IS in the moment, before ever taking a step forward. it's about redeeming our hearts from the false idols and advertising we see splashed across the TV + magazines. ?? I just got back from being 2 weeks away from the gym, not having complete control over the quality of my food, and enjoyed way too much laughter and one too many Moscow mules with good friends. ? and I don't feel bad about any of it. ? // YOU CAN DO IT! don't know where to start or how to get back on the bandwagon?
