James Lawrence, better known as “The Iron Cowboy” just made history by doing what may have seemed completely impossible to many.

In a grassroots effort to raise awareness of the obesity problem in America, The Iron Cowboy recently completed 50 ironman distance races in 50 states -and even more impressive, in 50 consecutive days!

For those that don’t know what an ironman race is, let’s break it down. An ironman race is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile marathon run. He completed his 50, 50, 50 challenge on July 25, 2015.

This means that in 50 days, he swam 120 miles, biked 5,600 miles, and ran 1,310 miles.
