Q.What’s your secret to being so fit?

A. I don’t really feel like I have any secrets! I guess I just work really hard in the gym and make sure I’m paying attention to what I put in my mouth. I don’t sit around waiting for X amount of minutes to go by between sets or whatever. My husband and I work out together, and as soon as he’s finished with his set, I jump into mine, and we swap back and forth. I take very little rest and keep my heart rate high, and I do a lot of supersets. As far as the food goes, I’ve experimented for a few years to find what works for my body, and it’s definitely not low carb haha, don’t take my carbs away from me! I keep track of my macros and make sure I’m hitting my numbers each day. I believe in flexible dieting – I eat as best I can, but if I want a cookie, I work a cookie into my numbers and eat a freaking cookie!

Q. What is one of your favorite back exercises?

A. Definitely pullups! My back used to be my weakest body part, but within the last year it’s become one of my strongest, and I’m really proud of the amount of pullups I’m able to do!

Q.If you could train with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

A.Well my immediate thought is my husband. We do the same workouts together every day, and I absolutely love working out with him. But if I could work out with absolutely anyone, I’d probably want to work out with Heidi Somers! I think she’s got a killer physique and such a likable personality! She’s so cute, and I totally have a woman crush haha!

Q. What does your workout split look like?

A. Monday: chest and hiit Tuesday: back Wednesday: legs and hiit Thursday: shoulders Friday: arms and a swim hiit workout Saturday: legs again I work abs in at the end of my workouts 3-4 times per week, and I’m not perfect with my hiit cardio, but I do my best to do it 2-3 times per week!
